The Opportunity

An established and growing groundworks contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Groundworks Estimator to support continued expansion across London and the South East.

This is a key leadership role within the commercial team, offering the chance to shape tender strategy, mentor junior staff, and play a central part in winning and delivering high-value civils and groundworks projects.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for groundworks and civils packages

Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents

Produce take-offs, pricing schedules, and cost plans

Work closely with directors, commercial, and delivery teams

Contribute to tender strategy and value engineering

Support and mentor junior estimators

Manage multiple tenders simultaneously

Requirements

5–6+ years’ experience in groundworks & civils estimating

Strong knowledge of UK construction pricing and methods

Confident producing full tender submissions

Commercially astute with excellent attention to detail

Strong communication and leadership skills

Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
