Our client is a construction business committed to improving lives and communities through high quality refurbishment and retrofit services. Operating across multiple sites in the Northwest, they work closely with public sector housing providers to deliver projects that make a tangible difference.
As the business continues to grow, they’re now looking to strengthen their SHEQ team with the addition of an Environmental Advisor. This role is primarily focused on environmental compliance and sustainability – with some light support across health and safety as the function builds out.
This is an ideal opportunity for a developing environmental or sustainability professional who’s ready to step up, take ownership, and grow alongside a business that’s building its ESG capability from the ground up.
What’s on Offer
£45,000 – £50,000 salary
£4,000 car allowance + mileage
Hybrid working – typically 3-4 days per week in the office, with occasional site visits
27 days holiday + bank holidays

Key Responsibilities
Developing and implementing environmental policies and procedures
Leading on ESG reporting, data capture and sustainability initiatives
Supporting ISO 14001 alignment and environmental audits
Advising project teams on environmental compliance and best practice
Promoting continuous improvement in environmental and social performance
Providing occasional H&S support alongside the wider SHEQ team
What We're Looking For
Practical environmental or sustainability experience – exposure to construction is beneficial but not essential
Understanding of ISO 14001, ESG frameworks, and relevant legislation
Degree, environmental qualification, or professional membership (e.g. IEMA)
