Quantity Surveyor

Location: Essex
Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 + package

We are working with a well-established Drylining specialist based in Essex, delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across commercial, residential and mixed-use sectors. Due to sustained growth and a strong order book, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The Role

You will take full commercial responsibility for multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with project teams and senior management to ensure successful financial delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

Full commercial management of projects, including cost control, forecasting and reporting

Procurement of subcontract packages and negotiation of terms

Managing valuations, variations, payments and final accounts

Working closely with site teams to manage risk and maximise value

Client-facing responsibilities, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships

Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required

Requirements

Minimum 8 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record of stability and progression within established construction businesses.
Strong understanding of contractual and commercial processes

Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

Confident communicator with a proactive and solutions-driven approach

Based in or commutable to Essex
