Site Manager
Site Manager – Heritage & Conservation
Royal & Historic Estates | London & South East | £2k-£15m Projects
This company turns away around 95% of enquiries.
Not because they can – but because most projects don’t deserve their involvement.
Their work takes place in royal households and historic buildings shaped by centuries of politics, power and succession. Places adapted carefully, not rebuilt loudly.
This is conservation, not restoration-for-show.
Judgement over speed.
Care over ego.
We’re looking for a Site Manager who understands that. A no1 on some jobs or a team player on others.
You’ll be trusted, client-facing and expected to operate with discretion.
If you lead with volume rather than credibility, this isn’t for you.
You’ll be:
· Technically strong
· Heritage-aware (with the experience to match)
· Calm, presentable and politically astute
· More Louis Theroux than Danny Dyer
You’ll instinctively know:
· Historic fabric isn’t a place to lean tools
· Shortcuts don’t belong on listed sites
· These buildings remember how they’re treated
If you want work surrounded by stories most people only read about –
this may be the most civilised Site Manager role you’ll see this year
When a building has seen six centuries of change, it notices how it’s treated today.
I know this ad’s had a bit of fun, but I’m a serious recruiter, working with a serious contractor, on a seriously good opportunity. Always open to a discreet conversation.
