COSS (Controller of Site Safety
Teamforce Labour are currently seeking experienced COSS personnel for long-term rail infrastructure projects across Kent and the South East. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and safety-focused individuals looking for consistent work on established rail frameworks.
Role & Responsibilities:
Acting as the Controller of Site Safety in accordance with Network Rail standards
Setting up, managing, and maintaining safe systems of work
Briefing work groups and ensuring all personnel understand site-specific risks
Liaising with PICOPs, Engineering Supervisors, and site management
Ensuring full compliance with railway rules, regulations, and safety procedures
Completing relevant safety documentation and briefingsRequirements:
Valid COSS competency (Network Rail approved)
PTS with ICI
Full understanding of Network Rail standards and procedures
Right to work in the UK
Full PPE
Drug & alcohol and medical in dateDesirable (but not essential):
Small Tools
Handback / ES / SWL competencies
