Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Birmingham

Contract Length: Jan 2026 – Jan 2027

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical projects from planning to completion. The role involves coordination with clients, design and engineering teams, procurement, and on-site delivery teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, manage, and deliver mechanical projects in line with agreed scope, schedule, and budget.

* Coordinate with design teams to review drawings, technical specifications, and ensure compliance with standards.

* Oversee procurement, subcontractor selection, and material logistics.

* Manage and monitor site teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery.

* Conduct regular progress meetings and issue status reports to stakeholders.

* Enforce company and client safety procedures on site.

* Handle client communications, change orders, and ensure strong working relationships.

* Oversee project close-out activities, including testing, commissioning, and documentation.

Skills & Experience Required:

* Proven experience managing mechanical projects (HVAC, piping, fabrication, or similar).

* Strong leadership and communication skills.

* Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams effectively.

* Proficient with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

* Sound knowledge of safety and quality standards (ISO, ASME, API).

* Problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure.

Qualifications:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

* 5–10+ years’ experience in mechanical project management.

* PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred.

* Experience in industrial, oil & gas, or construction environments
