Role Overview
We are working with a construction contractor seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Document Controller to support the pre-construction and bid teams.
This is a hands-on, office-based role requiring someone organised, detail-driven, and confident managing high volumes of technical documentation within tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities

Set up, manage, and maintain document control systems for pre-construction and bid stages
*
Upload, issue, and track drawings, specifications, and technical documents
*
Ensure document version control and audit trails are maintained
*
Support bid submissions, tenders, and pre-construction packages
*
Coordinate document flow between internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders
*
Ensure compliance with company and project document control procedures
*
Assist with formatting, filing, and general admin support for the pre-construction team
Required Experience & Skills
*
Proven experience as a Document Controller within construction
*
Pre-construction or bid-stage experience strongly preferred
*
Familiar with document management systems (e.g. Aconex, Viewpoint, Asite, SharePoint or similar)
*
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*
Confident working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
*
Comfortable being office-based 5 days per week
