Mechanical Project Manager Opportunity – Decarbonisation Project – Norwich Based

MK Search are working with a highly reputable and rapidly growing decarbonisation-focused M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Mechanical Project Manager to deliver a major hospital project in Norwich.

This is a key role managing £8m of mechanical services, with a strong emphasis on decarbonisation, retrofit works and complex pipework packages within a live healthcare environment.

The Role:

You will take full responsibility for the mechanical scope of works, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and quality standards. The project is part of a wider long-term framework, offering strong potential for follow-on work.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing and delivering £8m mechanical services packages

* Overseeing decarbonisation and retrofit works in a hospital setting

* Managing complex pipework packages

* Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour

* Programme management, cost control and reporting

* Ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and H&S regulations

* Working closely with site teams, consultants and the client

About You:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on large-scale M&E projects

* Strong background in decarbonisation, energy efficiency or retrofit projects

* Experience working within healthcare or live environments preferred

* Excellent knowledge of mechanical building services and pipework systems

* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills

* Able to work autonomously in a freelance capacity
