An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK main contractor on high-profile fit-out and refurbishment projects.

The Role:
The successful candidate will manage commercial and cost aspects of complex projects, overseeing budgets, contracts, and procurement from preconstruction through to completion. This is ideal for someone with strong preconstruction experience and proven success managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering high-specification fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor junior QS and commercial team members.

*

Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.

*

Oversee procurement and contract administration.

*

Act as main point of contact for clients and stakeholders on commercial matters.

*

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company quality standards.

*

Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimisation.

*

Collaborate with design, construction, and procurement teams for seamless project delivery.

Candidate Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in fit-out or refurbishment projects.

*

Strong preconstruction experience, including cost planning and tendering.

*

Experience leading or mentoring multi-disciplinary teams.

*

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.

*

Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying (RICS preferred).

*

Demonstrable record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
