Project Manager – Gas

A leading UK utilities contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver gas infrastructure projects across the UK.

The role involves managing projects across pipelines and above-ground installations (AGIs), including PRSs, Offtakes, Compressor Stations and Terminals. Works range from core maintenance to complex, multi-discipline schemes aligned with the UK’s energy transition, including Hydrogen and CCUS.

Key Responsibilities

Manage gas projects from construction through commissioning and close-out

*

Interface with pre-construction teams to ensure effective project handover

*

Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers

*

Ensure compliance with HSEQ, regulatory and industry standards

*

Manage project budgets, variations and commercial performance

*

Maintain project programmes and manage delivery-phase risks

*

Act as the primary client contact during delivery

*

Lead and support site and project teams

Essential Experience

*

Proven experience delivering gas infrastructure projects (utilities sector experience advantageous)

*

Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

*

Project Management qualification (APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent)

*

SMSTS and CSCS
