Housing Site Manager

Job Title: Site Manager – New Build Housing
Location: York
Duration: 4 Months (Freelance / Contract)
Start Date: Immediate – Starting Next Week

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a new build housing project in York. This is a short-term contract role, starting next week, with an expected duration of approximately 4 months.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Day-to-day management of site activities
• Managing subcontractors and trades on site
• Ensuring health & safety compliance at all times
• Coordinating works to meet programme deadlines
• Maintaining high quality standards and workmanship
• Liaising with project managers, suppliers, and inspectors
• Keeping site records and reporting progress

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Site Manager on new build housing projects
• SMSTS (Essential)
• First Aid at Work
• CSCS Card (Black or Gold preferred)
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to start immediately
