SITE ENGINEER – MAJOR AIRPORT EXPANSION (MANCHESTER REGION)

An established Tier 1 civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is recruiting an experienced Site Engineer for a long-term airport expansion project in the Manchester region.

The scheme involves the full expansion of the west side of the airport, delivering a wide range of new-build structures, hard and soft infrastructure, highways, drainage, and associated civil engineering works. This is a complex, multi-year project offering long-term continuity of work.

Key Responsibilities

Setting out for highways, drainage, utilities, structures, and buildings

*

Producing and maintaining accurate as-built records

*

Quality assurance checks and ensuring works meet specification

*

Supporting subcontractors and direct labour on site

*

Working closely with engineers, supervisors, and management

*

Ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained

Candidate Requirements

*

Strong background in general civil engineering

*

Experience on large infrastructure, airport, or major development projects

*

Confident in setting out using modern surveying equipment

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a large delivery team

*

Proven, steady working history on similar long-term schemes
