Section Engineer

SECTION ENGINEER – MAJOR AIRPORT INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT (MANCHESTER REGION)

A leading UK infrastructure and civil engineering contractor is seeking a Section Engineer to support delivery of a major airport expansion project located in the Manchester region.

The project consists of multiple new buildings, significant infrastructure works, highways, drainage, and enabling works, forming part of a large-scale west-side airport development. This is a long-term role on a technically challenging scheme.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a defined section of works from start to completion

*

Technical leadership of Site Engineers and supervision teams

*

Preparation and review of RAMS, ITPs, and work packages

*

Short-term planning and coordination of labour and subcontractors

*

Ensuring quality, safety, and programme targets are achieved

*

Liaising with site management and commercial teams

Candidate Requirements

*

Extensive experience in general civils and infrastructure works

*

Previous experience in a Section Engineer role on major schemes

*

Strong technical knowledge of highways, drainage, and structures

*

Good organisational and leadership skills

*

Consistent employment history on comparable large-scale projects
