Health & Safety Director

A leading London-based property developer and contractor is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Director to provide strategic leadership across a large, complex development and construction portfolio.

Reporting to the Executive team, you will set and deliver the Group H&S strategy, embed a best-in-class safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide assurance at Board level. You’ll lead a high-performing H&S function and work closely with project, commercial and delivery teams across major urban schemes.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and delivering Group Health & Safety strategy

Driving a proactive, values-led safety culture across employees and supply chain

*

Ensuring compliance with UK legislation including CDM and Building Safety

*

Providing Board-level reporting and governance

*

Oversight of high-risk, complex construction projects

*

Leading audits, investigations and continuous improvement

About you:

*

Senior H&S leader within a property developer, main contractor or major construction organisation

*

Strong Board-level stakeholder engagement experience

*

Deep knowledge of UK construction H&S legislation

*

NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent); CMIOSH preferred

*

Proven ability to influence, lead and drive cultural change
