Cpcs Slinger Signaller

We are seeking a dedicated Slinger to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient movement of heavy materials and equipment on-site. This role requires a strong focus on safety, communication, and teamwork to ensure projects are completed smoothly and within deadlines. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction or related fields to develop their skills further.

Must have CPCS Blue Slinger Card

Duties

* Safely directing the movement of lifting equipment such as cranes and hoists during construction operations

* Assisting with the positioning and securing of heavy loads using appropriate signalling techniques

* Communicating effectively with crane operators, ground crew, and site managers to coordinate activities

* Ensuring all lifting operations comply with health and safety regulations

* Maintaining clear communication channels throughout the worksite to prevent accidents or delays

* Conducting routine inspections of lifting gear and reporting any defects or issues

* Assisting with general site duties as required, including setting up safety barriers and organising materials

Experience

* Previous experience in construction or a similar environment is preferred

* Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and site personnel

* Fluency in English is required for clear understanding of safety instructions and procedures

* Familiarity with construction safety standards and procedures is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
