Mechanical Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

We are working with a well-established mechanical and electrical contractor delivering a strong pipeline of education, commercial, and decarbonisation upgrade projects across the North West.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Mechanical QS / Estimator to join their commercial team. This is an office-based role, with regular site visits across the region.

Projects include boiler room installations, heating, and plumbing works within high schools and colleges, as well as commercial projects and decarbonisation upgrades, with individual project values up to approximately £1m.

The role

Preparing cost estimates and commercial input for mechanical projects

Pricing boiler rooms, heating, and plumbing packages

Supporting tenders from enquiry through to submission

Commercial management of live projects where required

Reviewing drawings, specifications, and scopes of work

Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams

Attending site visits and project meetings across the North West

About you

Experience as a Mechanical QS and/or Estimator

Background in mechanical building services contracting

Strong knowledge of heating, boiler plant, and plumbing systems

Commercially astute with good attention to detail

Package
