Electrical Supervisor – Solar Construction

Contract Length: 6 Months
Location: Sherbourne, South West England
Start Date: Immediate
Rate: Competitive Day Rate
Working Hours: Full-time, site-based Monday–Friday

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to support a major large-scale solar construction project. This is a hands-on supervisory position overseeing electrical works on-site, ensuring safe, compliant, and high‑quality delivery across all stages of installation.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in solar farm construction, HV/LV electrical systems, and the ability to review CAD/AutoCAD drawings.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervising electrical installation activities on a large solar farm

* Reviewing AutoCAD drawings and electrical schematics (no design work required)

* Ensuring all works comply with UK electrical and safety standards

* Coordinating subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely progress

* Reporting progress, issues, and updates to the Project Manager

* Conducting inspections, testing, and quality checks throughout installation

* Supporting commissioning and handover phases

Essential Requirements

* Proven background in solar farm construction or large-scale solar installations

* Strong understanding of HV/LV electrical systems

* Ability to interpret and review AutoCAD/CAD drawings

* SSDs, ECS, or equivalent electrical qualifications

* Strong communication and team leadership skills

* Full right to work in the UK

Desirable

* Experience working on substations or grid connections

* SSSTS or SMSTS certification
