Senior Building Surveyor – Education Projects
Home based with regional travel across Worcestershire and neighbouring counties

£45,000–£60,000 DOE plus benefits

This is an opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor who enjoys leading projects, solving complex building issues and shaping design solutions, not just producing reports.
You will take a lead role delivering refurbishment and improvement projects across live education environments, working directly with school leaders and contractors, supported by a collaborative and well-established consultancy team.
The role
You will manage projects from early design and feasibility through to delivery and handover, taking responsibility for quality, cost, programme and client relationships.
Typical work includes:
- Technical building surveys, defect analysis and design development
- Leading refurbishment, fabric and improvement projects in occupied school buildings
- Producing and coordinating drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Full contract administration and site inspections
- Managing consultants, contractors and stakeholder expectations in live environments
- Advising clients on compliance, risk, lifecycle planning and value

About you
- Experienced Building Surveyor with strong technical and project management capability
- Confident leading projects, not just supporting them
- Proven experience delivering design-led refurbishment or capital works projects
- Comfortable working in occupied buildings and managing multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
- Chartered or working towards MRICS, MCIOB or MCIAT
- Full UK driving licence and eligibility for enhanced DBS
