The Company

Our client is a Warrington-based office fit-out specialist delivering commercial interior projects across the UK. With a current turnover of approximately £10m and clear plans to grow to £16m, the business continues to strengthen its commercial and pre-construction teams to support sustained growth.

They deliver a broad range of projects, from small works through to large-scale office refurbishments, typically valued between £40k and £1.6m. The company has a strong reputation for collaborative working, accurate tendering, and high-quality project delivery.

The Role

Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team. This role would suit an estimator who is comfortable managing tenders independently while working closely with Senior Estimators, Directors, and the wider pre-construction team.

You will be responsible for the full estimating process, from initial enquiry through to tender submission, contributing to accurate, competitive, and commercially sound bids across a range of office fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for office fit-out projects

Carry out accurate take-offs and measurement from drawings and specifications

Source and negotiate prices from subcontractors and suppliers

Build and maintain robust cost plans, pricing schedules, and estimating databases

Evaluate subcontractor returns and carry out cost comparisons

Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial risks within tenders

Work closely with the pre-construction, design, and delivery teams during bid stages

Attend tender meetings, site visits, and client presentations where required

Manage multiple tenders concurrently and work to strict deadlines

Support continuous improvement of estimating procedures and cost data

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as an Estimator within construction, ideally office fit-out or interiors

Strong understanding of fit-out construction methods and sequencing

Ability to price tenders independently from enquiry to submission

Excellent numerical, analytical, and commercial skills

High attention to detail with strong organisational ability

Confident communicator, able to liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software

Construction-related qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent) desirable
