The Opportunity
Branta are working with a growing, professional business based in North London, who are looking to bring on a Commercial Assistant / Trainee Estimator to support their expanding portfolio of small commercial projects.
This is a great opportunity for a detail-orientated, solutions-focused individual who wants to learn, develop, and grow within a supportive and structured environment. You’ll gain exposure to multiple project types, clients, and estimating disciplines while building a strong foundation in commercial construction.
Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation of estimates and cost breakdowns for small commercial projects
*
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and site information
*
Supporting tender submissions and pricing exercises
*
Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
*
Attending site visits to new and existing projects
*
Communicating professionally with end clients when required
*
Maintaining accurate records and supporting commercial reporting
What We’re Looking For
*
A detail-orientated mindset with a strong focus on finding practical solutions
*
Confident communication skills, including direct interaction with end clients
*
Good Excel capabilities and general IT competence
*
Willingness to travel to sites across London and surrounding areas
*
Full UK driving licence (essential)
*
A proactive attitude and desire to learn multiple aspects of the business
Security Clearance Requirement
Due to the nature of some projects, the successful candidate will be required to undergo high-level security clearance.
Applicants must therefore have lived in the UK continuously for a minimum of 5 years.
