Site Engineer – Highways Scheme – Bury St Edmunds
Rate: £300 – £400 per day
Duration: 8-10 months

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to work on a highways scheme based in Colchester. This is a 8-10 month contract offering a competitive daily rate, with an immediate or near-immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
-Setting out for highways works including roads, kerbs, drainage, and earthworks
-Working from drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality
-Checking line, level, and alignment of works on site
-Managing and coordinating subcontractors
-Producing as-built drawings and maintaining site records
-Ensuring all work complies with health & safety and highways standards

Requirements:
-Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or infrastructure projects
-Strong setting out skills using GPS / total station
-Ability to read and interpret highways drawings
-Valid CSCS card (essential)
-SMSTS / SSSTS (desirable)
-Full UK driving license
