Project Planner

A well-established contractor delivering complex engineering and construction projects is seeking a Project Planner to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a strong engineering background who has worked as a Project Engineer or Project Manager and is now looking to transition into a dedicated Project Planning role.

The Role

As Project Planner, you will play an integral role in the successful delivery of projects, working closely with site-based teams and senior management. You will be a key point of authority on programme matters, ensuring projects are accurately planned, monitored, and controlled.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing, managing, and maintaining detailed project programmes

*

Providing programme input during pre-construction and live delivery

*

Working closely with site management teams to monitor progress and resolve issues

*

Identifying risks, opportunities, and programme impacts

*

Reporting progress, delays, and mitigation strategies to senior stakeholders

*

Supporting claims, variations, and change control where required

About You

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

*

An engineering background (civil, structural, or similar)

*

Previous experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager

*

A clear desire to move into a Project Planner position

*

Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
RC Frames, Civils, Groundworks, Demolition, or Infrastructure

*

Strong programme ownership and an authoritative approach when dealing with delivery teams

*

Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge where required
