Site Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer / QA Engineer to support ongoing construction and civil engineering project in Cardiff. The role will suit a technically strong engineer with a proven background in digital engineering, quality assurance, and site control.

Candidates must be within a 45 minute commute of Cardiff to be considered for this position as part of the clients social value agreement. No digs available.

Key Responsibilities

* Setting out works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements

* Managing and maintaining QA documentation, inspection and test plans, and as-built records

* Producing and checking setting out data and survey information

* Uploading, managing, and verifying digital site records

* Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams

* Ensuring works are delivered accurately and in compliance with project standards

Essential Experience

* Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer and/or QA Engineer on construction or civil engineering projects

* Strong working knowledge of MSite, RDrive, and CAD software

* Experience with total stations, GPS, and digital surveying equipment

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

* High attention to detail with a methodical approach to quality control

Desirable

* Experience on large-scale or framework projects

* Familiarity with digital engineering and paperless site systems

* CSCS card (appropriate level)
