Quality Manager
Quality Manager | Major Infrastructure / Civils | Client-side
London or Birmingham based / Hybrid 3 days a week in the office
Salary: £65000 – £70,000 + package
We’re supporting a nationally significant infrastructure programme to appoint a Quality Manager within its Railway Directorate. This is a key client-side role providing quality leadership across complex engineering and construction delivery.
The Role
Reporting to a Senior Quality Manager, you’ll support delivery teams and the supply chain to embed a right-first-time ethos, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with rigorous quality standards.
You’ll act as a quality subject-matter expert, influencing outcomes across multiple work packages and contractors.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and assure supply-chain compliance with quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, project requirements)

Conduct and manage risk-based quality audits and surveillance activities
*
Analyse NCRs, defects and trends, ensuring root causes and corrective actions are implemented
*
Support delivery teams with quality advice, reporting and performance insights
*
Promote lessons learned, best practice and continuous improvement
*
Support the review and acceptance of contractor quality documentation
*
Contribute to supplier selection and assurance from a quality perspective
*
Champion Equality, Diversity & Inclusion in all aspects of your work
About You
*
Degree / HND / HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering or construction-related discipline
*
IRCA-approved ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification
*
Strong knowledge of audit, assurance and quality management systems
*
Experience working within major infrastructure, construction or engineering environments
*
Confident communicator, able to influence without direct authority
*
Analytical, organised and comfortable working across multiple stakeholders
