Lecturer – Bricklaying

£40 to £45 per hour – 22.5 hours per week – Monday to Wednesday

Are you looking for a new contract role with a well-regarded FE College?
In this role, you will teach apprentices studying Level 1 to Level 3 Bricklaying qualifications. You will coach, mentor, assess, and support learners, helping them develop strong technical skills, confidence, and professional standards as they progress through their apprenticeship.
This role would suit a bricklayer with an NVQ level 2 or higher and teaching experience looking for a new role to start immediately.
The Role
* Deliver engaging bricklaying sessions to learners at Level 2 and potentially Level 3
* Plan lessons in line with curriculum requirements and awarding body standards
* Assess learner work and provide clear, constructive feedback
* Maintain a safe and inclusive workshop and learning environment
* Track learner progress and contribute to reviews and achievement records
The Person
* Minimum Level 2 qualification in Bricklaying or a closely related field
* Previous teaching or training experience within further education or a similar setting
* Strong practical knowledge of bricklaying techniques and industry standards
* Ability to engage and motivate learners with differing abilities
* Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and professional standards
