Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Leicestershire-based office on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be computer literate and bring a strong background in estimating. You will be joining a specialist passive fire protection company, working as part of a professional and supportive team.

Key Requirements:

Previous estimating experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software's
Passive Fire Protection experience (not essential)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and tenders for passive fire protection works across the Midlands
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and schedules to identify scope of works
Undertaking quantity take-offs for fire stopping, fire doors, and associated works
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information
Supporting senior estimators with bid submissions and tender documentation
Maintaining and updating estimating databases and pricing schedules
Communicating with existing clients to clarify requirements and provide support during tender stages
Assisting with value engineering and cost comparisons where required
