Project Quantity Surveyor
Project Quantity Surveyor – Freelance
Commercial Fit Out & Refurbishment | Central London (Moorgate)
A well-established Central London fit out and refurbishment contractor is looking to appoint a Project / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to support a growing pipeline of large, design-led commercial projects.
This is a delivery-focused role within a business known for technically demanding refurbishments, complex live environments, and high-quality Cat A / Cat B work for institutional clients.
You’ll be joining a professional, well-structured team where commercial staff are trusted to run their packages properly, supported by experienced senior leadership.
The Role
• Project / Intermediate QS role on high-value commercial fit out and refurbishment projects
• Running and owning commercial packages under senior commercial management
• Core duties include procurement, subcontractor management, valuations, variations, CVRs and reporting
• Working closely with site teams, design teams and professional client-side stakeholders
• Site-based in Central London with a stable, well-resourced project team
• Clear scope to develop as project complexity and responsibility increase
What they’re looking for
• Intermediate or Project-level Quantity Surveyor
• Background with a main contractor or interiors / refurbishment contractor
• Comfortable running packages rather than operating purely in a support role
• Strong commercial fundamentals across subcontractor procurement and cost control
• Confident, organised, and professional — able to operate calmly on complex live projects
• Someone keen to grow long-term within a structured, high-performing business
The Company
The business delivers commercial fit out and refurbishment projects across Central London, typically involving:
• Cat A and Cat B office fit out
• Structural refurbishments and reconfigurations
• Live, occupied buildings and heritage-sensitive environments
• Design-led schemes with institutional and blue-chip clients
They are known for:
• High standards and well-run projects
• Strong internal culture and clarity of communication
• Investment in people, progression and long-term development
• A grown-up, non-chaotic working environment
