Freelance Site Engineer – Solar Farm Project

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to support the delivery of a large-scale solar farm project. If you are looking for your next role then please read on. 

Role Overview

You will be responsible for site engineering duties including setting out, surveying, and producing accurate as-built records throughout the project lifecycle. This is a hands-on site role working closely with the construction team to ensure works are delivered to specification.

Key Responsibilities

Setting out for civil and electrical works in accordance with drawings and specifications

Providing engineering support to site management and subcontractors

Carrying out surveys and checks to ensure accuracy and quality of works

Producing and maintaining accurate as-built drawings and records

Managing and interpreting technical drawings and design information

Ensuring works comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements

Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Engineer, ideally on renewable energy or infrastructure projects

Strong setting-out and surveying experience

Competent in producing as-builts (AutoCAD or similar)

Comfortable working independently in a freelance capacity

Valid CSCS card (and relevant tickets)

The client will provide equipment
