Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure (South West Water Framework)
Location: Avonmouth
Offer: £45,000 – £55,000 + £5,000 Travel Allowance + Excellent Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a busy and well-established infrastructure contractor delivering a major long-term framework for South West Water. This is an excellent opportunity to join a secure programme of work with strong career progression, varied projects, and a supportive team environment.
The Role
The Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for the end-to-end commercial management of multiple infrastructure upgrade projects across a number of sites local to Bristol, Avonmouth and south along the M5 corridor. Working closely with operational teams, you will also support and mentor a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, helping to develop their technical and commercial capability. Projects will include the installation of new pipework, earthworks and civils upgrades and the replacement of tanks and process equipment.
Some of the Quantity Surveyors key responsibilities will include:
Managing the full commercial lifecycle of projects from tender through to final account
Administering and managing NEC contracts
Cost forecasting, reporting and budget control
Procurement and subcontractor management
Change control and compensation event management
Supporting operational teams to maximise commercial performance
Mentoring and developing junior commercial staffAbout You
Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure, utilities, or civil engineering environments (desirable but not essential)
Strong understanding and practical experience administering the NEC suite of contracts
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
