We are working with a highly respected HVAC / Mechanical contractor that has built a strong reputation for delivering complex mechanical and building services projects across Scotland. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the next phase of their expansion.
This role is specifically suited to someone with a strong HVAC / Mechanical background — someone who understands the market, the clients, and how work is genuinely won and delivered in this sector.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in developing new business opportunities while strengthening existing client relationships across the HVAC and mechanical market.
Your responsibilities will include:

Identifying and securing new business opportunities across HVAC and mechanical services
*
Developing and managing a strong pipeline of commercial, FM, and specialist HVAC clients
*
Building long-term relationships with consultants, end clients, and key decision-makers
*
Working closely with estimating, pre-construction, and operations teams to shape winning bids
*
Supporting tender strategies, presentations, and client meetings
*
Keeping close to market trends, competitor activity, and client demand
*
Representing the business professionally within the HVAC / mechanical market
*
Contributing to overall growth strategy and business planning
This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role, not a cold-sales position.
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Business Development Manager within HVAC / Mechanical / Building Services
*
A strong existing network within the HVAC / M&E market
*
Demonstrable track record of winning work and growing accounts
*
Solid understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical services, and service/project delivery models
*
Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, consultants, and clients
*
Commercially astute, credible, and technically grounded
*
Self-motivated, professional, and relationship-focused
*
Full UK driving licence
