Site Manager – School Refurbishment

Location: Salford
Duration: 40-week programme
Start Date: March
Rate: £260–£280 per day (depending on experience)

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a school refurbishment project in Salford on a 40-week programme, starting in March.

This role will involve managing works within a live or partially occupied education environment, requiring strong organisation, communication, and health & safety leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day management of site activities

*

Overseeing subcontractors and direct labour

*

Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification

*

Managing health & safety, including RAMS, inductions, and toolbox talks

*

Coordinating works around school operations where required

*

Maintaining site records, progress reports, and quality standards

*

Liaising with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment projects

*

Previous experience on school or education projects is essential

*

Strong understanding of health & safety in live environments

*

SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid

*

DBS clearance highly preferred (or willingness to obtain)

*

Strong communication and leadership skills
