Duration: 6 months initially (likely extending to 24 months)
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
We’re supporting a local authority with a live, high-profile waste removal programme at a water treatment facility and are looking for a strong, client-facing Project Manager who can step in quickly and take ownership of delivery from day one.
This is a hands-on role in a live operational environment. You’ll act as the main interface between the client and the subcontractor, owning programme, risk, communication and outcomes through to completion.
The role
Take control of an £11m waste removal project within a live water treatment environment
Act as the day-to-day interface between the local authority and subcontractor
Own delivery from mobilisation through to close-out
Manage programme, reporting, risk, change and issue resolution
Chair site and client meetings and manage senior stakeholders
Ensure compliance with H&S, environmental and contractual standards
Drive delivery against time, cost, quality and safety
What we’re looking for
Proven Project Manager experience in water, utilities, civils or environmental projects
Strong client-facing presence – confident, credible, delivery-focused
Experience managing subcontractors and multiple stakeholders
Comfortable operating in live, operational environments
Public sector / local authority experience beneficial
Water treatment or waste projects highly desirable
Available immediately or on short notice

6 months initially with strong likelihood of extension to 2 years
Site-based role within South West London
