Our client is a well-established construction contractor delivering complex projects in highly regulated environments. They are looking to appoint a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to support project delivery, cost control, and commercial performance across Defence schemes based in the South West.

The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of Defence projects from pre-contract through to final account.
You will:
* Assist with cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting
* Manage subcontractor packages, valuations, and payments
* Support change control, variations, and cost recovery
* Work closely with project teams to manage risk and maximise value
* Ensure compliance with contract and commercial procedures
* Contribute to the successful commercial delivery of secure projects
About You
This role will suit a degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor looking to step into a more challenging and rewarding environment.
You will bring:
* An undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* Around 4 years’ experience working within a commercial department
* Good understanding of construction commercial processes
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* A collaborative approach and the confidence to engage with project teams
Defence experience is advantageous but not essential — the right attitude and commercial foundation are key.
