This well‑established organisation in the UK water infrastructure sector is looking to appoint an Environmental Advisor / Environmental Planning Advisor / Environmental Planner to support projects across the Severn Trent and Thames Water regions. This hybrid role (2 days wfh per week) includes a great benefits package detailed below and offers ongoing involvement in major treatment works upgrades and new site developments.
The Environmental Advisor will:
* Advise on environmental consenting requirements at design and planning stage.
* Support identification and coordination of EIA / town planning requirements.
* Prepare and assist with documentation for EIA screening and planning applications.
* Coordinate environmental risk reviews and environmental scopes of work.
* Liaise with designers, project managers, regulators and planning authorities.
* Support biodiversity targets and oversee documentation for environmental consents.
The Environmental Advisor should:
* Have experience in environmental management and/or consenting.
* Be used to setting and delivering goals with an organised and flexible approach.
* Be aware of GIS tools (e.g., flood maps, constraints mapping).
* Hold a relevant CSCS card (desirable but not essential).
* Have a full UK driving licence for site visits.
* Ideally have a qualification in an environmental, town planning or related discipline.
