We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mason / Conservator to join a specialist heritage and restoration contractor delivering high-quality conservation works on a project based in Crystal Palace, South London.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on historically significant structures, carrying out sympathetic restoration and repair works in line with conservation best practices.

The Role

As a Mason / Conservator, you will be responsible for:

Carrying out traditional masonry and stone repair works

*

Conservation and restoration of historic fabric and architectural elements

*

Lime mortar repointing and traditional finishing techniques

*

Careful removal and replacement of damaged stonework

*

Working to conservation drawings and heritage specifications

*

Maintaining high standards of workmanship in sensitive environments

*

Ensuring health & safety compliance on site

Requirements

*

Proven experience in heritage restoration, conservation, or traditional masonry

*

Strong knowledge of lime mortars and traditional materials

*

Experience working on listed buildings or historic structures desirable

*

CSCS Card (essential)

*

Ability to work to detailed specifications and conservation methods

*

Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
