Design Technician
Location: Hull, UK
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Design Technician to join a dynamic team, delivering bespoke design solutions. In this role, you will create SolidWorks models, fabrication drawings, and support the design process from concept to production, ensuring that designs meet client specifications and manufacturing capabilities. You will work closely with Project Managers and be responsible for submittal drawings, detailed fabrication drawings, and ensuring all project requirements are accurately captured.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and create accurate SolidWorks 3D models and 2D drawings

* Design products in line with manufacturing capabilities, focusing on sheet metal, steel fabrication, and modular structures

* Prepare and revise client submittals and fabrication drawings

* Input design data for materials and cutting lists

* Maintain high design standards and ensure efficient manufacturing processes

The Person:

* Proficient in SolidWorks (3D/2D) and experienced in sheet metal fabrication or modular building design

* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and the ability to interpret technical drawings

* Experienced in the construction or manufacturing sector

* Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality designs
