Project Manager ( Solar )

Our client is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Solar Project Manager to deliver commercial and residential solar projects from concept to completion. This is a full-time role based in Havant, with travel to sites and client meetings as required.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all project phases: planning, design, procurement, installation, and commissioning

*

Develop and control schedules, budgets, and resources

*

Carry out site assessments and review system designs for compliance

*

Coordinate internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and utilities

*

Act as the main client contact, providing updates and managing expectations

*

Ensure health & safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance

*

Track costs, support procurement, and identify efficiency improvements

*

Deliver projects typically valued between £250k–£3M

Requirements

*

Proven experience managing and winning solar (or related construction) projects

*

Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, grid connections, and regulations

*

Experience working with clients and surveyors on commercial or industrial projects

*

Excellent communication, organisation, and commercial awareness

*

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar (preferred)

*

Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP) advantageous

*

Familiarity with MS Project, AutoCAD, PVsyst or similar tools

Package

£40,000–£60,000 salary plus discretionary bonus
