The Opportunity

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Project Manager with a background in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Design who is looking to transition into a full project management role.

This is a rare opportunity for an M&E design professional to step away from day-to-day design delivery and move into a client-facing, commercially focused project leadership position — while still leveraging their deep technical understanding of building services.

You’ll be joining a highly regarded consultancy known for delivering complex, high-value projects across multiple sectors and working alongside some of the industry’s most experienced project leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Managing projects from inception through to completion

*

Acting as the key interface between clients, design teams, and contractors

*

Overseeing programme, cost, and risk management

*

Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, with a focus on M&E packages

*

Reviewing technical submissions and ensuring design intent is maintained

*

Supporting procurement and contractor appointment processes

*

Monitoring project performance, reporting, and governance

*

Attending and leading client and stakeholder meetings

Ideal Background

*

Previous experience in Mechanical or Electrical Building Services Design

*

Consultancy or contractor design background considered

*

Exposure to large-scale commercial, residential, healthcare, or infrastructure projects

*

Strong technical understanding of MEP systems and coordination

*

Desire to move into a project/client-side leadership role

*

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
