Senior Site Manager

A Privately owned, financially strong main contractor delivering projects across industrial & logistics, residential, retail, commercial, education and leisure sectors nationwide. With a strong regional presence across Yorkshire and the North, the business delivers schemes typically ranging from £5m to £100m+, including complex refurbishment, high-rise residential, hotels and major regeneration projects. The company is known for repeat business, collaborative delivery and investing in long-term careers.

Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline, they are seeking a Senior Site Manager to oversee a £30M hotel refurbishment in Huddersfield.

This is a large-scale, multi-room refurbishment in a live or phased environment, requiring a strong background in internal packages and complex refurbishment delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead site operations on a £30M hotel refurbishment project

Manage and coordinate subcontractors across multiple internal work packages

Oversee programme delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to specification

Take ownership of internal fit-out packages including MEP coordination, finishes, and compliance

Ensure strict adherence to H&S standards and company procedures

Chair site meetings and maintain strong communication with the Project Manager and commercial team

Monitor quality control and ensure high-end finish standards are achieved

Drive programme, sequencing and logistics in a constrained/live environment

Mentor and support Assistant Site Managers and Site Engineers

Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on projects £20M+

Strong internal fit-out and refurbishment background (hotel, residential, student accommodation or similar multi-room schemes)

Experience delivering projects in live or phased environments

SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid

Strong leadership, programme management and coordination skills
