UPB are a specialist construction & building recruitment company, working with a well-established construction, civils & infrastructure contractor to hire a Contracts Manager.
The successful Contracts Manager will be responsible for dealing with a multitude of clients, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers during all aspects of pre-construction, delivery and handover of projects.
Schemes will range from 500k – £10m in value.
You will benefit from working on a range of civils contracts for private infrastructure, roads, highways, water, commercial builds and public framework schemes.
The role will ideally suit an individual from an Engineering/ technical background within civil & construction. You will benefit from a strong support team, and a healthy business mix of projects as part of a growing order book.
Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing Project Management staff, ensuring smooth running of sites.
*
Provide input to facilitate successful delivery of construction packages.
*
Collaborate with clients and designers to understand project requirements and expectations.
*
Work with project Managers to provide comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
*
Manage and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors.
*
Oversee project budgets with commercial and Project Management staff, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
*
Provide regular project updates to clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
*
Proactively identify and address potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
*
Ensure timely completion of project milestones and final delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
*
Preferably a degree or equivalent in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
*
Preferably an Engineering background
*
Knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
*
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
*
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
