Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services

An established, employee-owned building services consultancy is looking to appoint an Electrical Design Engineer to join its Central London office.

With a strong portfolio of technically challenging projects, this practice delivers high-quality, sustainable engineering solutions across sectors including education, cultural, heritage and community buildings.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Design / electrical Engineer to further develop their technical expertise while working within a collaborative, design-led consultancy environment.

The Role

Working as part of a multidisciplinary MEP team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across all RIBA stages, from concept through to completion.

Responsibilities include:

* Electrical building services design and technical calculations

* Developing low-energy and sustainable design solutions

* Production of specifications and technical documentation

* Attending client and design team meetings

* Undertaking site inspections and technical reviews

* Coordinating with architects, mechanical engineers and other consultants

* Supporting and mentoring junior engineers

* Working under the guidance of Senior and Principal Engineers

About You

* Strong understanding of electrical systems within building services design

* Confident contributing to technical discussions with clients and design teams

* Comfortable managing workload across multiple projects

* Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline

* Working towards Chartership (CEng)

* Experience using industry-standard software such as Revit and electrical calculation packages

* You will be motivated, collaborative and keen to further develop your technical capability within a well-regarded consultancy environment.
