Astute's Power Team are currently recruiting for a HSE Officer to join the EPC Contractor on a New Build Open Cycle Gas Turbine project based in Bedfordshire.

The HSE Officer comes with a day rate from £250.00 to £280.00 outside of IR35.

Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:

Conduct daily site inspections and walkarounds to monitor compliance with HSE standards and company procedures.

Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved RAMS, permits to work, and risk assessments.

Intervene and stop unsafe acts or conditions, promoting a proactive safety culture across the site.

Support the implementation and monitoring of the project HSE Management Plan.

Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and inductions for new personnel and subcontractors.

Monitor high-risk activities including lifting operations, confined space entry, work at height, hot works, and LOTO.

Record and report incidents, near misses, and unsafe observations, supporting investigations where required.

Liaise daily with subcontractors and site supervisors to ensure alignment on safety expectations and standards.

Maintain accurate HSE records, inspection reports, and site documentation.

Assist with audits, client inspections, and regulatory visits as required.Location, day rate and timeframe of the HSE Officer position:
