Job Title: Junior Estimator

Location: Nottingham / UK (office + site visits)
Salary: Dependent on experience

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior Estimator to support our clients estimating and pre-construction team. You'll assist with pricing and tender preparation for fit-out and construction projects of varying size and complexity, helping ensure they deliver accurate, competitive bids and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

Support the preparation of accurate cost estimates and tender submissions.

Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications and scope documents to identify cost items.

Assist in producing quantity take-offs and pricing breakdowns for materials, labour, plant and subcontract packages.

Source and evaluate supplier / subcontractor quotes and maintain pricing records.

Help prepare Bills of Quantities, cost plans and tender documentation.

Assist in identifying risks, exclusions and opportunities in bid packages.

Liaise with project teams including design, commercial and operations to ensure estimates align with programme and technical requirements.

Support post-tender follow-up and clarifications where required.

Maintain and update internal estimating databases and rate libraries.

Attend site visits to gather information for pricing and scope clarification when needed.

Skills & Attributes

Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

Good understanding of basic construction methods, materials and processes.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general estimating software (or willingness to learn).

Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Organised, proactive and keen to develop professionally
