The Opportunity An award-winning, design-led architectural practice based in Manchester is seeking a Part 1 Architectural Technician to join its growing technical team. This is a permanent, full-time position offering structured mentoring, professional development and meaningful involvement across a diverse project portfolio.

We would also welcome applications from these industries: construction, property development, building consultancy, multidisciplinary design practices and urban planning.

This role would suit candidates currently working as an Architectural Assistant, Graduate Architectural Technician, Junior Architectural Technologist, Part 1 Architectural Assistant, Trainee Architectural Technician, CAD Technician (Architecture), BIM Assistant, Technical Design Assistant, Graduate Building Designer or Junior Revit Technician.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:
Producing and amending architectural drawings and technical packages using CAD and BIM platforms.

Supporting the progression of schemes from initial concept design through planning and into detailed technical delivery.

Assisting with the preparation of construction drawings, specifications, schedules and detailed design information.

Liaising with internal teams, consultants and external stakeholders to help ensure coordinated and compliant design solutions.

Applying knowledge of construction methods, materials and current Building Regulations to contribute to well-developed technical outcomes.

You will have the following qualifications and experience:
Completion of a recognised Part 1 qualification in Architectural Technology, Architectural Practice or a related discipline (or comparable practical experience).

A strong interest in high-quality design, detailing and technically robust architecture.

Ability to communicate design intent clearly through drawings, visual presentations and digital outputs.

Working knowledge of industry-standard software such as Revit, AutoCAD or similar BIM/CAD tools.

An organised, proactive approach with a genuine desire to learn and develop within a supportive team environment.
