Electrical / Mechanical Site Maintenance Engineer

Window & Door Manufacturing – Glazing Industry

We are seeking an experienced Electrical / Mechanical Site Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established window and door manufacturing business within the glazing and fenestration sector. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy production facility, ensuring machinery, equipment, and site services remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.

The role will involve planned and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical and mechanical systems, including CNC machinery, fabrication equipment, conveyors, compressors, and general plant machinery commonly used in window and door manufacturing. You will play a key role in minimising downtime, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical and mechanical maintenance of manufacturing machinery and plant

*

Fault finding, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs

*

Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

*

Supporting production teams to reduce downtime

*

Ensuring health & safety and compliance standards are met

*

Assisting with installations, upgrades, and process improvements

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing environment

*

Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (or time-served experience)

*

Experience with machinery used in window, door, or glazing manufacturing preferred

*

Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive approach

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

*

PLC fault-finding experience

*

Knowledge of CNC machinery

*

Experience within the glazing, fenestration, or construction manufacturing sector
