I’m currently working with a well-established specialist contractor operating within the demolition, strip-out and complex structural alteration (cut & carve) sector. Due to the award of a £6m cut & carve scheme in Central London, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a technically strong business known for delivering challenging inner-city schemes involving significant structural modification and engineering complexity.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the scheme from pre-construction through to completion. You will be client-facing and lead all operational, commercial and programme aspects on site.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing site teams, subcontractors and specialist engineers

*

Overseeing temporary works and structural sequencing

*

Programme management and coordination with the client and consultants

*

Budget control and reporting

*

Ensuring health & safety compliance to the highest standards

*

Managing stakeholder communication in a busy city-centre environment

The ideal candidate will:

*

Have proven experience delivering cut & carve or complex structural alteration projects

*

Have managed projects of similar value (£5m+)

*

Be comfortable working on schemes involving steel structures

*

Ideally hold an engineering degree (Civil or Structural preferred)

*

Demonstrate strong technical understanding of structural sequencing and temporary works

*

Be commercially aware and confident in client-facing situations

*

Have experience working within Central London constraints
