Construction Manager – SW London
Falcon Green are currently partnering with a leading international engineering contractor delivering complex, large-scale healthcare and mission-critical projects across the UK and Europe. Due to continued expansion and a strong secured pipeline, the company is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join a flagship healthcare development in London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key leadership role on a technically challenging healthcare project, working with a contractor renowned for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical packages across mission-critical, pharmaceutical, healthcare and advanced technology sectors.
The successful candidate will oversee site operations from structural completion through to commissioning and client handover, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage daily site operations across multiple work fronts
• Coordinate and oversee MEP and associated subcontract packages
• Ensure works are delivered in line with programme milestones and project objectives
• Monitor and drive health & safety compliance across site activities
• Manage and mentor Site Managers, engineers and subcontractor supervisors
• Review and monitor quality of installations, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications
• Chair and attend coordination meetings with consultants, client representatives and project stakeholders
• Track labour levels and subcontractor performance, maintaining accurate site records
• Oversee material procurement and ensure timely delivery to site
• Support commissioning planning and ensure smooth transition to handover phase
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Commercial team to manage costs and mitigate risk
Key Requirements:
• Relevant third-level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline (trade background also considered)
• 7+ years’ experience in a supervisory or management role on large-scale construction projects
• Previous hospital or healthcare project experience highly desirable
• Strong understanding of MEP services and complex building systems
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with project planning software advantageous
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, programme-driven environment
