Senior Quantity Surveyor – Europe

Join a leading international building contractor with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-value projects across Europe. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major data centre development in Belgium.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take a senior commercial role on one of the most dynamic and fast-growing sectors in construction, working alongside a high-performing team committed to excellence, innovation, and quality delivery.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial and contractual management of a large-scale data centre project. You will work closely with the Project Director, Project Manager, site teams, and key stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will play a pivotal role in cost control, procurement strategy, contract administration, and commercial reporting, while mentoring junior members of the commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the preparation of detailed cost plans, budgets, and forecasts across all project stages

* Manage procurement strategy, tender processes, and negotiation of subcontract packages

* Oversee and control project expenditure, ensuring robust cost management

* Assess, negotiate, and agree interim valuations, variations, and final accounts

* Provide strategic commercial advice and risk analysis to senior project stakeholders

* Prepare and present accurate financial reports and cost value reconciliations

* Ensure full compliance with contract conditions and statutory regulations

* Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks

* Support and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors where required

Requirements

* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline

* Minimum 7+ years’ post-graduate experience, ideally with a main contractor

* Proven experience delivering large-scale projects; data centre or mission-critical experience is highly desirable

* Strong working knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management practices

* Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

* Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities

* EU citizenship or eligibility to work in Germany is essential
