About the Role

An established and growing refurbishment contractor is seeking an experienced Roofing Site Manager to oversee specialist roofing projects within the Social Housing sector.

This position will focus on managing roofing repairs, replacements and associated works across Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to a high standard of quality, with particular emphasis on compliance and health & safety.

Previous experience managing roofing contracts in occupied social housing environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure works are delivered in line with specifications, scope and programme requirements

* Monitor progress against agreed schedules and prepare regular progress reports

* Complete and manage quality assurance documentation

* Work alongside the commercial team to manage delegated budgets and support project profitability

* Coordinate site teams, set clear daily objectives and manage performance

* Conduct site inductions and maintain accurate workforce records

* Ensure operatives have appropriate materials, PPE and equipment

* Maintain a safe, clean and tenant-considerate working environment

* Oversee quality standards across both direct labour and subcontractors

* Liaise with residents and client representatives to ensure clear communication and minimal disruption

Candidate Requirements

* Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally within roofing projects

* Experience working in Social Housing and occupied properties

* Strong understanding of tenant engagement and live-site environments

* Valid SMSTS qualification

* First Aid at Work certification

* Asbestos Awareness (desirable)

* Strong organisational and communication skills
