Role Overview

The Graduate Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and Contract Manager, as well as key clients, to support the full lifecycle of engineering projects — from initial planning through to delivery and handover.

This role provides excellent exposure to project delivery, health & safety management, procurement processes, and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain high standards of Health & Safety through supervision, inspections and monitoring

* Conduct site inspections and prepare risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)

* Liaise with procurement teams to source materials, parts and subcontract labour

* Support the Project Manager in the coordination and delivery of project work

* Obtain permits to work as required for project activities

* Prepare project handover documentation and reports for clients

* Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings

* Provide support across the wider department to assist with business growth

Requirements

* Some exposure to on-site engineering projects (water industry experience desirable but not essential)

* Engineering qualification – HND minimum (Mechanical preferred)

* Strong analytical skills

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to motivate and work collaboratively with colleagues

* Full UK driving licence (preferred)

* Right to work in the UK on a permanent basis
